Since the very beginning, our primary goal for Word Pictures has been to provide unequaled customer service by thoroughly understanding our customers' business and products. This attention to our customers, combined with our ability to maximize creativity, productivity and cost control, has enabled Word Pictures to thrive in a very competitive market.

 

Word Pictures, Inc. Timeline

1983

Word Pictures, Inc. founded by Craig Handley and Robert McQuiston. Our first office is located on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, MI. Services offered include writing and producing corporate videos and training courses as well as other marketing materials such as brochures and booklets.

1987

Desktop publishing is offered as an in-house service.

1990

The company moves to 28838 Van Dyke in Warren, MI.

1992

Word Pictures produces live satellite broadcasts for General Motors Service Technology Group.

1993

Word Pictures is ranked one of the fastest growing privately owned businesses in Michigan by the Michigan Private 100, sponsored by the Detroit News and WWJ radio.

1994

Word Pictures makes the Michigan Private 100 for the second consecutive year. Pat Allen is hired.

1995

We write, shoot, and program our first interactive CD-ROM for ACDelco.

1997

Word Pictures begins producing Distance Learning for GM.

1998

We begin coding web pages for both the Internet and client Intranets.

1999

The Word Pictures Website is launched.

2000

We shoot one of the first high-definition video productions in Metro Detroit for William Beaumont Hospital.

2001

Shapes up to be our best year ever as we continue to expand our services and promote continuous quality improvements.

2002

Word Pictures is pleased to help the University of Detroit Mercy celebrate its 125th anniversary by producing a video and serving as a sponsor for the gala event, one of the first held at Ford Field.

2004

Operations are consolidated at our Forterra office for greater efficiency.

2006

Word Pictures' training development service engages in global efforts.
